Article 1
This Standard is enacted under Paragraph 2, Article 22 of the Freedom of Government Information Act (hereinafter referred to as “this Act”).
Article 2
A fee of NT$20 shall be charged for browsing, transcribing, or photographing government information for every two hour; any time less than two hours shall be counted as a full two hours.
Article 3
Fees for reproducing or duplicating government information shall be charged in accordance with the Schedule of Charges for the Reproduction or Duplication of Government Information (as attached), and the materials shall be produced using the agency's existing equipment.
For items not specified in the aforementioned Schedule, fees shall be charged based on the actual cost of reproduction or duplication.
Article 4
Where mailing services are required for the reproduction or duplication of government information, postage shall be charged based on the actual amount incurred.
The government information referred to in the preceding paragraph may be transmitted via email or delivered offline using electronic storage media.
Where offline delivery via electronic storage media is requested, fees shall be charged for the cost of the required media, unless the applicant provides the storage media.
Article 5
An applicant who requests government information for academic research or public interest purposes shall submit relevant supporting documents along with the application. Upon approval, all applicable fees, except for postage which shall be charged based on the actual amount incurred, may be waived or reduced by half.
Article 6
The collection of fees prescribed in this Standard shall be handled by budgetary procedures.
Article 7
Where the subordinate agencies of the Ministry of Justice have special operational characteristics, they may separately prescribe fee standards for providing government information in accordance with Paragraph 2, Article 22 of this Act.
Article 8
This Standard shall come into force on the date of its promulgation.
